The Carleton and Garrison Brewing Company

New brew alert! Garrison Brewing has partnered with Houblon Duke 25 Hops to create a brand new beer. To celebrate the launch The Carleton is hosting a release party May 24.  This collaboration brings together craft brewing experience from Nova Scotia and Quebec to create a beverage that could be your new favourite! Jost Vineyards

May 25 is National Wine Day and Jost Vineyards Annual Tidal Bay Bash is the perfect way to celebrate! Pair locally inspired food with divine wine tastings, all while enjoying live music from Derailed 2.0 on the patio.  Stomp your feet to the beat of rock ‘n’ roll, blues, and country tunes between sipping on diligently crafted proudly Nova Scotian wine!


Sea Level Brewing

Join Sea Level Brewing for Barks & Brews to celebrate your furry friends! Check out multiple dog demonstrations and vendors where you can take part in creating keepsake crafts. Enjoy a cold beverage alongside your pet with a dog safe beer for them, and a Sea Level brew for you!


Kiju’s Restaurant

Pairings is a eight course culinary experience hosted by Kiju’s May 26. Enjoy a flavourful array of dishes with seven wine pairings to compliment each plate! With entertainment by Jordan Musycsyn and a percentage of proceeds going to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation you will leave with a smile and full stomach.

The Carleton

Join The Carleton May 29 for their first ever Wine Showdown! Avondale Sky Winery and Luckett Vineyards face off putting a spin on a classic wine-paired dinner. Indulge your palate with the delectable flavours of Chef Mathias Probst’s five courses each paired with a wine to compliment. Ciders and Sliders

The Nova Scotia Cider Association is hosting something tasty at the Old Orchard Inn May 30! Ciders and Sliders is a fun way to discover delicious Nova Scotia flavors through food and drink. Get your tastebuds ready and make sure to stop and see our phenomenal members while you’re there!


May 31: Dust off your dancing boots for the Apple Blossom Country Barn Dance at Old Orchard Inn! From 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. in the Heritage Barn DJ will be playing music to help you get your old fashioned groove on. Get your tickets online now!

June 1: My Grandfather’s Cat is hosting a pet food giveaway at Garrison Brewing Co. to celebrate their three year anniversary! Grab a beer while you pick up free cat and dog food, enter giveaways, and have fun at the pet photo booth. Everyone is invited, your pets too!

June 1: The Rose & Kettle Tearoom at the Cole Harbour Heritage Museum, is hosting an exciting event of discovery and tactile learning, Fibre Frolic! A colourful marketplace, hands on demonstrations, sheep shearing and the Frolic Grill. This is a family-friendly event where you can try a new craft, discuss with fibre artisans, and pick up materials for your next project!

June 15: It’s that time of year again, the Blue Lobster Party Cruise is setting sail for the season with weekly Friday and Saturday nights on the water.
