The annual Saltscapes Expo is back for another year of great food and great times! Join us for three days of fun-filled culinary adventures on April 20, 21 and 22, 2018. Find new favourite local products, watch chefs compete for the best chowder, sample delicacies and enjoy educational demos.
Dates: April 20, 21 and 22, 2018
Times: Friday, April 20: 12 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 21: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 22: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
New Location: 350 Horseshoe Lake Drive in Bayers Lake (the former RONA building)
Tickets: $13 a day or $37 for a three-day weekend pass

Culinary Stage:
Stop by the Taste of Nova Scotia Culinary Stage to watch the engaging, locally-inspired tastings, educational demos and culinary competitions. Some of this year’s topics include: Fresh Summer Cocktails with Coldstream Clear Distillery, Seafood Pizza with Style with J. Willy Krauch & Sons/Comeau’s Sea Foods, Nova Scotia Wine 101 with Sommelier NSCC’s Amy Savoury and A Taste of Nova Scotia’s History with Chef Ben Kelly of Kitchen Door.
Chowder Cook-Off:
Cheer on local chefs as they face off in the Taste of Nova Scotia Chowder Cook-Off! Our Nova Scotia chowders are warm and comforting, much like the character of our people. This year, eight of our Taste of Nova Scotia chefs will be vying for the title of best chowder in the province. Stop by and cheer on Chefs Shane Robillard (Fox Harb’r Resort), TJ Pittman (The Old Fish Factory Restaurant & Ice House Bar), Dale Nichols (Digby Pines Resort & Spa), Robert Reynolds (Liscombe Lodge Resort & Conference Centre), Jeffrey MacNeil (Rime Restaurant + Wine Bar), Richard Sanford (Durty Nelly’s: An Authentic Irish Pub), Ivan Chan (The Orient Chinese Cuisine) and Andrew Shannon (Battery Park Beer Bar & Eatery).
