HFX Burger Week 2019

Did you hear about the hamburger who couldn’t stop making jokes??? He was on a roll.. Taste of Nova Scotia restaurants are frying up some seriously delicious burgers for The Coast’s Burger Week from March 28 – April 3. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to eat your way around Halifax and share your favourite local burger pics with us! Worried about eating too many burgers? Not possible, but maybe bring a friend along to share these burger masterpieces with.

THE GREEK BURGER: A PEI beef patty, Annapolis Valley feta, tzatziki, tomato mint chutney and onion slaw on a sesame bun. $6

THE PICKLE BACK: Pickle-brined fried chicken, topped with shredded iceberg lettuce, purple cabbage and house-pickled veg, smothered with chipotle ranch on a grilled buttered brioche bun. $15

KIWI BURGER: All-beef patty, bacon, caramelized onions, smoked avocado aioli, beetroot, lettuce and a sunny side up egg on a brioche bun. $15


THE UNBURGER: Chickpea patty, lettuce, local pickled beets, vegan goat cheese and spicy mustard, served on a sourdough bun. $6

PEPPER DON’T PREACH: Peppered beef patty with stout caramelized onion, mushroom duxelles, hot Dijon aioli, Appenzeller Swiss and fresh spinach. Served with frites. $16

THE BROOKLYN DONAIR BURGER: House-made donair meatloaf, roasted-tomato relish, raw onion, Hickory Sticks and donair sauce aioli. $14

THE CANTEEN DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER: Two all-beef patties, melted havarti, special sauce, lettuce, dill pickles and frizzled onions on a house-made sesame bun with a side of our handcut fries or a side salad. $18
