Private Dining at Le Caveau

Exciting news from Le Caveau at Grand Pre Wines! Earlier this month they announced they would begin offering private dinner bookings for 8 to 10 guests in the comfort of their elegant dining room. Perfect for birthdays, retirements or office parties, the private dining experience includes a 5 or 7 course tasting menu and a carefully curated Estate or International bottle pairing.

Rose & Kettle To Go

The Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Rose & Kettle Tea Room online shop is now live! You can now order bulk quantities of their delicious scones, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, and soups each week! Orders should be placed by Thursday at noon each week, items will be ready for pick-up at their main door on Fridays, between 12 & 4 p.m. at 471 Poplar Drive.

Harvest Wines Case

Nourish Your Roots Farm to School Program

Nourish Your Roots is a farm-to-school food box fundraiser developed by Nourish Nova Scotia, created to help schools support their healthy eating programs and increase opportunities for children to eat more vegetables and fruit. The food boxes feature local produce from participating Nova Scotia farmers and help connect children and families to healthy, local, and sustainable food choices.

Help make Nourish Your Roots 2020 a success for schools and farmers by purchasing a Nourish Your Roots food box, visit the Nourish Nova Scotia online store. Food boxes are $35 and include 22-25 lbs of farm-fresh Nova Scotia produce.

Events

Devour 9.5 – October 21-25, 2020

Save the date for this year’s Devour! The Food Film Fest! The popular culinary and film event is proving that hybrid is just as mouth-watering as the original with an in-person and digital festival combo. This year marks the 10th installment of the festival, coined Devour! 9.5 to reflect travel restrictions and smaller in-person gatherings. Organizers promise to deliver all of the festival’s baked-in goodness during the five-day event, October 21-25, 2020. Find out more by visiting their website

October 22: Pumpkin and a Pint at Saltbox

Saltbox Brewing Company is hosting an evening of drinks, pumpkin carving, and (socially distanced) fun! Tickets are $10 and include a pumpkin and a 16oz Saltbox pint of your choice (add up to 4 pints to each ticket for an extra $5). The best pumpkin will be determined by the voter’s choice and will be announced on October 31. The winner will receive a $25 gift card! October 22 – 31: Halifax Burger Week

Halifax Burger Week is a city-wide burger-eating phenomenon and fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia put on by The Coast. After six long months of postponement, Halifax Burger Week 2020 is happening! And it’s not just a week, either. The burger celebration runs for the last 10 days of October, starting Thursday, October 22, and running through Saturday, October 31st. Many Taste members will be featuring burgers, including Agricola Street Brasserie and Battery Park Beer Bar & Eatery.
