What’s Cooking: The Return of Burger Wars & Burger Bash

Spring in Nova Scotia can only mean one thing… it’s officially burger season! Throughout April, there is not just one, but two different burger competitions taking place around the province.

In the Annapolis Valley, Burger Wars has already begun! Running from April 1 -30, this is a month-long competition, where local restaurants across the valley showcase their best burgers to support a great cause. $1 from every burger sold will be donated directly to Campaign for Kids, supporting youth in Kings County.

In the city, you’ll find Halifax Burger Bash, a city-wide fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia that has been going on 13 years strong. Taking place from April 16-26, over 100 restaurants across Halifax Metro will be offering creative burgers at a special set price, with a portion being donated to Feed Nova Scotia.
