NSITEN is a volunteer, not-for-profit cultural tourism organization based out of the
ancestral territory of the L’Nu (Mi’kmaw) people of Mi’kma’ki (present-day Atlantic
Canada). We are the mandated Indigenous Tourism Association under the national
body, the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC).
We provide business development, training, and capacity building for L’Nu / Mikmaw and Indigenous-owned businesses year-round through a targeted approach that connects the organization to grassroots voices.
We also partner with regional, provincial, national, and international partners to share knowledge and any key opportunities for tourism development that may help to increase the capacity of our membership to reach higher levels of market readiness.
